Ready to take on the busiest area in DC? Skip the crowded sidewalks and slide into our all-electric Red Roadsters to be guided around our nation’s capital by a local.
Our National Mall tour starts at the L’Enfant Plaza metro, where our guides take you back to the city’s origins and give you some tips for exploring the city on your own. You work your way through the Smithsonian area, discussing the best exhibits in each. Make sure you bring a notebook because you’ll want to take notes for later!
Next, breeze past the Washington Monument, Holocaust Museum, and Bureau of Engraving and Printing on your way to our beautiful Tidal Basin, where you’re entertained with the stories behind the watery oasis and the Jefferson Memorial.
You also have the opportunity to hop out and explore on your own! We do that at two stops: the FDR and MLK memorials, as well as at the Lincoln Memorial. At both locations, head out on foot with tips and insider information from our guide, and spend some time inside these amazing memorials. Afterward, cruise along the scenic Potomac River with views of Arlington Cemetery before seeing the World War I and World War II memorials.
Continue your journey through American history with a drive past the White House. Finally, feast your eyes on the buildings of Capitol Hill and learn the history behind them. End your tour on a high note by asking your guide for an amazing spot for lunch before exploring the rest of DC on your own.

Chris, thank you for the excellent tour! Accommodating our unexpected delays was greatly appreciated. Tailoring your guiding comments to appeal to our children on the tour really helped make the experience extra special. Looking forward to trying out your suggestions for additional local touring, (especially the food), and using your services again in the future!
Mr. Darren B. from United Kingdom traveled on 07 Sep 2017:

Mr. Erin D. from USA traveled on 08 Aug 2017:
LOVED my experience. I have been to DC before but it was great to see things from another view and up close that I had never seen before, with someone else driving and zipping through traffic like we were VIP’s! I was with my cousin who had never been to DC before and a self-proclaimed “anti-historian” and she loved it. Not to mention, our guide was pretty cute! ;>) My only complaint/suggestion is that it was hard to hear the tour guide. I struggled to hear him at some points due to traffic/buses. My cousin, who is somewhat hard of hearing, really struggled to hear him properly. Can you string some speakers through the canopy of the cart and the tour guide use a wireless microphone? Oh, and also, can you clearly mark the meeting spot? I know you clearly said it was at the Le’Fant metro station, but it was not clearly indicated where exactly you would be meeting at the metro station. It is a semi-large area and I was afraid we would miss the carts.

This was a great tour for those who haven’t been to DC before and only have a small time to see parts of the city so you get to see the most iconic sites while learning the history as well as getting ideas of what to do/see on your free time. It’s great for those who have been to DC before (or a local) and just want to get to know the city better since it gives the history portion, plus some fun tales as well.

She was great and we got a good combination of tour time and time at the two (three actually) memorials. Interesting did bits and communications about DC. Fun way to travel. I was a little cold due to wind…so maybe add a section on wear appropriate clothing.
Mrs. Shona L. from Chad traveled on 13 Aug 2015
Enjoyed the tour, saw a lot that we could not have covered on foot!
Guide was very good.
Tour ended 10 min early, would have been nice to be able to use that time to spend a little more time at sites etc.
Mr. Prinsez W. from USA traveled on 04 Sep 2014
Thanks to George and Kate(?), my family and I had the tour of a lifetime. We truly appreciated all that we learned in the amount of time we learned it. We loved the sites, though we’ve seen them a time or two, but to have someone take us and tell us more than we knew was a great pleasure. They were on time, dressed for the occasion and really nice and the price was just right. If we tour again, it will be with Urban Adventures.
Ms. Sherry P. from USA traveled on 23 May 2014
